Wings 4 Jackets 1

Do I want to discuss this game? No. Do I feel the need to give my team a good talking to? Yes. Am I going to? No. It’s the first time this season that the Blue Jackets have lost back to back regulation games. I think they call this character building. We came out flat. We didn’t give Leclaire any help. He was hounded in the crease, and didn’t stand a chance on most of his goals. The one thing I will complain about is how Hasek chops Chimera’s head off and doesn’t get any penalty. Anyway, Pascal Leclaire stopped 32 out of 36 he looked good in net. We let in 2 power play goals last night, Hitchcock had this to say about the penalty kill:
“We didn’t get the clears we needed on their power play and we paid for it,” Hitchcock said.
Detroit is a puck possession team…we sat back and watched the play develop. We were always a few strides behind them. Let’s hope that the boys can get it together in Nashville tonight to at least get 2 points out of the road trip.
