    Wild 3 Jackets 2

    By Bethany | October 7, 2007

Woo a post game re-cap…alright while I am procrastinating going to the grocery store by watching my new favorite show Mythbusters I will write my post game re-cap. My thoughts on the game. We played well the first 2 periods, but, in the third, we lost it. Norrena made some huge saves on breakaways…and yeah maybe that second goal he should have had it. But, you know what…Portzline hit the head right on the head when he said:

Goaltender Fredrik Norrena played very well against the Wild on Saturday. I was just talking with a colleague earlier about the Blue Jackets goaltending. In previous seasons, the backups have been Jean-Francois Labbe, Fred Brathwaite, Ty Conklin, Brian Boucher, etc. Be glad those days are over, Blue Jackets fans.

If any of those four were in net on Saturday, it might have been 7-1 or 11-1. Gaborik would have had a hat trick. Not saying Norrena’s the No. 2, just saying the Blue Jackets are as well off with Leclaire-Norrena as they were five years ago with Tugnutt-Denis.

Norrena is a great goaltender an amazing goaltender and in my opinion this season he will be even better than last. I’m so proud of his effort last night. It’s so funny how with the way we opened the season a lot of Jackets fan hopped on the bandwagon…then last night hopped right back off. I’m not one of those fans. I’m here for my boys…I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. I don’t expect us to make the playoffs…but I do expect a good season from them. Of course with Hitch behind the bench anything could happen.

    The good in the game:

    Adam Foote’s short handed goal.

Zherdev had an assist on both of the CBJ goals.

    Hainsey got another goal.

    The bad in the game:

Turnovers I’m looking at you Russell

Zherdev was out for every Wild goal.

    Jacques Lemaire pisses me off.

Up next for the Jackets…the Wayne Gretzky Coyotes are in town…and my twin and I will go head to head and I’m really glad that this only happens four times a year.

I’ll have more about the game on Wednesday tomorrow and Tuesday…so the video will have to be ok for now.

WHOOOOO! I’m happy to see them fight back. The Wild used to be a team that if they were down anywhere near the third period they would freak out and self-destruct, thus not mounting a comeback. Good to see Adam Foote get one.

Well I’m glad you’re happy…and yes it was great to see my Captain get a goal and wow our penalty kill and power play is not too shabby eh?

Your BJ’s are killing me!!! (Innuendo Intended :) )

First I actually watch them, despite the fact they are playing the insanely boring (and in this corner hated), then they sucker me in with a SH goal by my Favorite Jacket Foote. Then they blow the lead and lose.

Nice new Page too, even though I’m not keen on pink writing. Either way I like the page

They might have blown the lead late in the game (ala previous Jackets) but they still worked incredibly hard and actually won some battles for the puck. It’s too bad the Wild got the lead and put their “Lock Down Lemaire” defense in place, making it almost impossiblt to score. Zherdev should have scored that late goal though…. Nice page Bethany.

Ya I know…we did really work really hard that game especially considering that we had played the night before. And, don’t get me started on Lemaire I can’t stand that man haha. I missed Z’s opportunity because I got mad but I certainly heard about it. And I’m glad you enjoy my page Cary :)
