Vyborny Signs in Europe
By Bethany | July 14, 2008
This is from an article on April 25…and I found it interesting that he signed before July 1.
Hockey forward Výborný headed for Sparta
Five time Ice Hockey world champion David Výborný is headed for Prague’s Sparta hockey team next season. The player, who was signed with Columbus in the NHL, agreed to a three-year contract. Výborný was part of the national team which won the world championship gold in Vienna in 1996 as well as in 2005.
Vybs will be playing for the HC Sparta Praha. Good for Vybs, but we’ll certainly miss you in Columbus….but on this it says he’s a member of management…so I don’t really know what to believe…here is a bit of the article…it’s in Czech/English so I don’t understand it all.
Thirty hours trmácel David Excellent from America. Nejnov?jší spar?anská posila p?esto v odpoledních hodinách dorazila do Prahy a ve VIP prostorách holešovické Areny ochotn? odpovídala na otázky zvídavých noviná??. Last spar?anská posila still in the afternoon arrived in Prague and in the VIP rooms holešovické Arena willingly answered questions zvídavých journalists. Výborný se stal také ?lenem managementu, ale jak sám ?íká, hokej bude pro n?j stále tím nejd?ležit?jším. Excellent, he became a member of management, but as he says, hockey is for him is still the most important. “Budu se hlavn? soust?edit na své výkony na led?,” ?ekl nový sportovní manažer. “I will mainly concentrate on their performances on the ice,” said the new sports manager.
So there you have it…or something like that. I really should learn Czech. The original article can be viewed here.
