Rumors…

I am so sick of hearing all of these rumors. Especially the Ryan Malone rumors. I am aware he is a good player, and I am aware that we need some top 6 forwards. We need a center. We need TWO centers. Ryan Malone is a left wing, I want centers. We can have all the capable wingers in the world, but if we don’t have someone feeding them the puck. We don’t need them. (I am aware that Malone would be a good addition for the Jackets, but if he is asking for $5 mil a season I would rather it go to a center.)
Ryan Malone is going to test the market. Good for him. I hope he gets the money he wants, and deserves. Michael Peca, is going to talk to Howson after the draft. My guess is that he wants to see what we do at the draft. Peca deserves a succesful organization, and if we can’t give that to him, then I suppose I am okay with it. Anyway, the draft is soon.

The Malone hype is nuts. I too am tired of it and glad we didn’t throw big bucks at him.
Let him move on, he won’t solve our problems.

1) 5 million for Malone would be insane! The guy may be a decent 2nd/3rd line forward, but he’s NOT going to score 40-50 goals/80-90 points. 2-3 mil, tops!
