Rick Nash seems like a shoe-in as the next Captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets…but with the emergence of Rusty Klesla as a voice in the locker room is that still the case? Could the first ever draft pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets wear the ‘C’ next season? I think it’s entirely possible.
We need a play making center, there are no if’s and’s or buts about it. It’s not optional Scott Howson, I am sure is aware of this. Let’s see what he does in the off season.
Steve Mason is going to be in the AHL next year, we know this, but, is one season in the AHL going to be enough for him or are we going to re-sign Freddy? Who is going to be the back up in 2009-2010?
David Vyborny, Jan Hejda, Michael Peca, and Ron Hainsey all are UFA’s this summer, who are we keeping and who is gone? My two cents, Hejda, Peca, and Hainsey need to stay, but my opinion, Hejda will get signed as will Hainsey…the rest won’t.
Jiri Novotny is getting really good, I mean compare his play NOW to what it was at the beginning of the season there has been a big turn around.
Do we need a heavy weight? Brian McGrattan might be available and I for one am tempted to start a petition? Who’s with me?! Anyone….anyone….hello?! (haha totally kidding by the way, I’m fine with my hockey hubby stayin a Sen, he makes that jersey look good!)
Rome is fitting in really well with the team, I think, of course it could be the fact that I have been waiting to watch him play in the big leagues for FOUR years…it’s his turn damn it!!
Jason Chimera needs to score a fricking goal…the end.
We need to win a hockey game, we have outplayed every single opponent and have gotten 3 out of 6 points NOT acceptable.
Gilbert Brule needs to score too…
Freddy Modin needs to be better.
