Quick Update.

Alright, so first of all the Jackets signed Grant Clitsome to an entry level contract. He’s a d-man from Clarkson University. I don’t have much on this kid and don’t have time to dig on him right now. Tomorrow I will though.

Next the Jackets assign six players to Syracuse, Gilbert Brule, Zenon Konopka, Clay Wilson, Joakim Lindstrom, Adam Pineault, and Tom Sestito. In a surprising move by the Jackets, at least by me, they sent Brule down. GOOD MOVE!! Brule needs to play meaningful hockey. Brule needs to be an elite player. In the WHL he was a force, he needs to feel on top of the world again. And, well what is it going to hurt?

Also, on the Blue Jackets website, you can vote for your MVP, it is between Nash, Pazzy, and Zherdev. I voted for Zherdev, he had a turn around, and deserves the honors. My guess, it goes to Nash. Captain, fan favorite, and face of the franchise, can’t beat that.

Pascal Leclaire will be in net for Canada. Zherdev is considering playing for Russia. GOOD FOR HIM. I hope he does it, I would love to see Z playing for Russia, he deserves it. They kind of disowned him there for a bit, but they came crawling back.

AND, last but not least, the Jackets will pick sixth in the NHL Entry Draft on June 20. We will also have Colorado’s first round pick. That’s all for me. Goodnight!
