One week…

A week from today free agency will begin. The Columbus Blue Jackets will be active…VERY active. We are looking to add three or four players. Those players will NOT be named Brian Campbell or Marian Hossa. And, quite frankly I am okay with that.

There is still no word on the Duvie Westcott front, my guess is that he will be bought out. Although, I don’t know. We need two defensemen, and a forward, I want a center, but Portzline seems to believe that it will be a winger, Ryan Malone…to be exact. I wouldn’t mind that but I want a center…we NEED a center.

Other tidbits, and happy thoughts:

Jakub Voracek will make the team, if Nikita Filatov also makes the team, we’ll have TWO Calder contenders. That’s a good thing.
I love this team win or lose, it’d be easy if they were winners all the time, but, to love a team, that has never made the playoffs takes a lot of effort, and I know someday it will pay off.
Scott Howson did a great job at the draft, if you think he didn’t…you’re stupid…and clearly have no clue about the Blue Jackets or the franchise.
