Methot, Picard, & Kelly

The Blue Jackets have re-signed d-man Marc Methot, and forward Alexandre Picard. They have also signed forward Steve Kelly, who has played for the Oilers, Devils, Lightning, Kings, and most recently the Wild. All of the men were signed to one year two-way contracts, which is best for everyone involved, at least in my opinion. Mainly because last season we signed Sheldon Brookbank to a NHL contract, he didn’t make the team, was sent down but had to pass through waivers, and was picked up by the New Jersey Devils. It’s better to just sign a two-way contract just to be safe.
