1) Boston (Lucic is amazing and should only be that much better next year), 2) Sidney Crosby (one of the greatest ever), 3) Ovie
Enough said
If I wasn’t a Bruins fan, they may be #3. Cheers.

Haha, erm, how did I know you were going to pick Boston first?!

ok well I am so out of the hockey loop since our season ended
and if I were to pick any location away from home it would have to include warm weather, sandy beaches, and a bikini.
oh wait, and a margarita too.

LOL, Elisa, the margarita is #1 on my list!!
And, this isn’t until next season!

Hi Bethany:
From a road trip last year to Boston, Buffalo and Toronto I can give you this feedback.
Buffalo is a fun arena in which to watch hockey. It’s a party!
Boston is a little more stuffy but still enjoyable.
Toronto is ridiculously expensive, hard to get tickets for, and very corporate.
So from your list I’d choose Boston.
Have fun!

Hi FrequentReader! Boston seems to be winning so far! I think it’d be fun to go, and I think I have a hookup for tickets in Toronto, so it wouldn’t be too bad! Thanks for commenting
Hope to hear from you soon!!

If you come to Atlanta, I’ll show you around Philips!
It’s a really nice arena, and even the cheap seats ($10) are really nice.

Nice, I will keep that in mind!! I think after going to Nationwide, it’s hard to go to other arena’s ours is so nice!!

Of those, I’ve been to games in Ottawa, Toronto, Nashville, and Pittsburgh.
I really enjoy going to games in Nashville, but I recall you’ve been there before and didn’t like it too much. But it’s a fun city.
Toronto is one of my favorite cities to visit in general, although the Air Canada Centre experience was kind of ‘meh.’ As someone said above, it’s pretty corporate, and tickets can be hard to come by. Great city, though, and you’d also be able to go to the HHOF and maybe catch some OHL games in the surrounding area.
Ottawa’s another great city — of the places I’ve lived, it’s one I’d move back to in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose. Sens tickets are not hard to get, but the arena’s on the far outskirts of town without much around it and the atmosphere is pretty dead unless the Leafs are the opposition, so it leaves something to be desired as a hockey game experience. It’s been many years since I went to a 67s game, but those were fun for broke students like I was at the time.
Pittsburgh is an easy drive from Cincy. The arena is old and run-down, but it’s a fun atmosphere these days and people are really nice there. There doesn’t seem to be a lot right around the arena (although I’m sure locals could point out some hidden hotspots) but it’s a relatively quick drive to the South Side or to the area around Pitt, both of which have some options for pre or post-game fun. And I was going to say you could go to Ikea, but then I remembered that y’all have your own Ikea now.
If the schedules fell into place and you had some time, I think the ideal hockey road trip would be something like 1) Toronto 2) Peterborough for a Petes game 3) Ottawa 4) Canton, NY for a Saints game 5) Syracuse for a Crunch game. Although some of my biases are evident in that itinerary…
I’ve been saying for several seasons now that I want to go to a game in Raleigh, and I still haven’t made it. I’d like to do Minnesota and Chicago as well.

Sarah, we do have an Ikea here!! i went there today as a matter of fact. That road trip sounds fun! Now, I just have to save money for it! If you do go down to Raleigh let me know, maybe we can go too. I went to Chicago off some free tickets I got from Versus, but I think Minnesota would be fun!!
