Blackhawks 5 Jackets 2
By Bethany | November 8, 2007
Pathetic. It’s the first word that came to mind when I thought of this game. The guys were out of position. They weren’t hitting. They forgot about the game plan and they left Fredrik Norrena out to dry. Aaron Portzline put a stat in his blog last night about the shots allowed on each of our goaltenders:
Fredrik Norrena is 1-2-2 this season, but he hasn’t played poorly. Some interesting numbers — when Norrena plays, the Blue Jackets allow 31.7 shots on goal; when Leclaire starts, they allow 24.7 shots. Hmmm.
Why is this team allowing SEVEN more shots on Norrena than Leclaire? I don’t understand. I am happy when Leclaire is in net, but the team needs to be able to play in front of both goaltenders. I will say that Norrena let in some questionable goals, but he played stellar for the most part last night and made some big saves.
I don’t have a lot to say about this game. I can’t be mad at my team. I understand that every team has it’s ups and downs. And, I am fine with that…but l hate losing in that manner. Stupid Blackhawks.
