Stefan Legein
By Bethany | July 12, 2008

On the last post Michael asked me why I hoped Stefan made the team (and I didn’t mention Brassard). I think that deserves some sort of clarification. I was able to see Stefan (and Jakub) drafted last year in Columbus, and I think whenever you see a player drafted you always have a soft place in your heart for them. I was able to watch Stefan play in the World Juniors and he’s just a fun kid to watch, and I love his style of play…yes, even though he models his game after Avery. (Also, check out my Meet Stefan Legein post) Anyway, I was checking out the Blue Jackets website today and they had a video up of Stefan from Development Camp, and I thought I would share.

[…] Stefan Legein, since the day he was drafted has been a favorite player of mine. In the very few times I have been able to watch him play you get an idea of what his personality is, he really shows it off on the ice. He reminds me a lot of Jared Boll. The Blue Jackets website had a great piece written on both Jakub and Stefan and showing their different personalities. Also, they have a great interview with Stefan. […]

I just love him, he is so well spoken and yet so goofy. The end of the interview cracks me up - classic Legein style. I would coo in his general direction if my coos were not already reserved for one boy, and one boy only.

LOL, you can always sneak in coos what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him haha.
