Penguins 4 Red Wings 3 GAME 5

The Red Wings came back in the second with Darren Helm scoring to make the game 2-1. I still didn’t have confidence in the Wings however, until the third period, where they scored twice. The Red Wings were up 3-2. With almost five minutes left, I saw him, Lord Stanley. He was just as beautiful as I remember him.
With about a minute left the Penguins pulled their goaltender, and put Maxime Talbot out as the extra attacker, I began counting down the seconds, until Lidstrom would raise Lord Stanley over his head, and skate around the Joe. Then, the unthinkable happened. The Penguins scored. I was shocked. I couldn’t believe what I saw. The Red Wings were thirty-five seconds away from winning the Cup.
Between the third period and the first overtime, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and take my sleeping pills (there has been a lot going on, and it has made it hard to sleep). That was the wrong decision. The game went into three overtimes. Petr Sykora told Pierre McGuire he was going to score, I believe in the first OT. It took him until the third OT to make good on that, but he did. Sergei Gonchar got hit pretty hard into the boards, and only had one shift in all of the OT’s. He made good on that shift setting up the game winning goal. The Penguins win game five, and now it’s back to Pittsburgh for game 6.
I have no predictions…this series is getting good!!
